The Graham Ashton Brass Ensemble (GABE) was founded in London in 1992. Acclaimed as one of the world’s most innovative ensembles, GABE has given concerts throughout Europe, USA, Scandinavia & Australia, and have recorded for EMI Virgin, SONY, Signum and Chandos.

Recognized throughout the world for his visionary performances and imaginative programming, Graham Ashton reformed GABE in New York when he was appointed Chair of Brass at Purchase College, State University of New York, in May 1999.  Drawing together an eclectic, and classy mix of New York’s most distinguished brass players from the MET Orchestra, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, American Symphony,  and the faculties of Juilliard, Manhattan and Purchase Conservatories, the Graham Ashton Brass Ensembleoffers the very best of brass playing from some of the finest musicians in the world.

GABE performs as an octet of three trumpets, horn, three trombones and tuba, and also gives concerts as a quartet of two trumpets, horn and trombone to suit smaller venues and to help bring quality brass chamber music to smaller communities.

In recent seasons the Graham Ashton Brass Ensemble has given many performances throughout the US including Rockefeller University, Miller Theatre, Columbia University, Lyric Chamber Music Society, Century Club, National Cathedral in Washington DC, and the Guggenheim Museum and Metropolitan Museums in New York City. They have also given concerts in the States of Wyoming, Colorado, and New Jersey, appeared at the Epsival Festival in France and toured Ireland for Music Network.

The Graham Ashton Brass Ensemble is represented in the US and Europe by Figra Artists Management (New York), South Asia and Australia by RAZ Music Management (Melbourne), and in Israel by Monica Fallon Artists Management (Tel Aviv).
